Background
Orozco grew up in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, and developed his game through the Mexican minor league system. A natural left-handed hitter with solid gap power, he built his reputation as a left fielder with a consistent bat and the kind of versatility that keeps a player employed in professional ball for a long time.
Professional Career
Orozco’s best run at the upper levels came with the Saraperos de Saltillo in Triple-A, where he played from 2017 to 2019. His peak season was 2019: 74 games, a .304 average, 11 home runs, and an .891 OPS — numbers that showed real power potential for a corner outfielder. He also posted a .304 average in 44 games during the 2018 campaign.
He has not reached the major leagues, but Orozco has remained a consistent presence in Mexican professional baseball, rotating through LMP rosters across multiple winter seasons.
Winter League (LMP)
In the Liga Mexicana del Pacífico, Orozco has suited up for the Venados de Mazatlán, the Sultanes de Monterrey, and currently the Jaguares de Nayarit. His 2025-26 winter was a grind — .197 in 34 games — but he still managed 4 home runs and 20 RBI, keeping his power credentials alive.
The 2026-27 season has been a different story. In just 9 games, Orozco is hitting .250 with 4 home runs, 11 RBI, and a 1.047 OPS — a sharp reminder of what he can do when he’s locked in.
