Background
Kubiuk was born on September 30, 1995, in Barrington. As a right-handed pitcher, he has focused his professional development on the bullpen role, using the minor leagues and winter league opportunities to sharpen his game and build his résumé.
Professional Career
Kubiuk’s path has run primarily through the minor leagues and winter circuits. In 2025, he pitched at Double-A with the Amarillo Sod Poodles, appearing in 13 games and posting a 9.53 ERA over 11.1 innings — a tough stretch at that level. But his winter ball numbers tell a very different story.
In the 2024-25 LMP season with the Algodoneros de Guasave, Kubiuk was outstanding: 1.35 ERA in 20.0 innings, 7 saves, and 21 strikeouts in 20 appearances. He established himself as a reliable late-inning option and earned a new opportunity the following winter.
Winter Ball: Where Kubiuk Shines
The LMP has become the ideal stage for Kubiuk to prove his worth. His 2026-27 debut with Charros de Jalisco has been flawless — three appearances, three saves, zero runs allowed. That kind of consistency in high-leverage situations is exactly what bullpen coaches look for in a closer.
Back-to-back strong winters — a 1.35 ERA in Guasave followed by a perfect 0.00 ERA in Jalisco — make Kubiuk one of the more intriguing relievers to track in winter ball. He keeps games close, he converts saves, and he’s raising his competitive profile one scoreless outing at a time.
