Background
Alesandro was born on May 7, 1998, in Higüey, Dominican Republic. His path to professional baseball ran through the Atlanta Braves organization, where he began sharpening his control and velocity as a reliever. He has yet to make his MLB debut, but time at Single-A and High-A has given him a steady foundation of professional reps.
Minor League Career
Alesandro’s minor league track record shows a pitcher trending in the right direction. In 2022, he logged 47.2 innings split between Single-A and High-A, posting ERAs of 4.25 and 4.50 while racking up 49 strikeouts.
Then came 2023, and a real step forward. With the Augusta GreenJackets, he put up a 1.93 ERA in 18.2 innings with 18 strikeouts. He carried that momentum to the Rome Braves, where he posted a 2.70 ERA with 32 punchouts in 26.2 innings. That kind of consistency across two levels is exactly what scouts want to see from a reliever prospect.
Winter Ball
Alesandro has made winter ball a key part of his development, and the results speak for themselves.
In the 2025-26 LVBP season with the Águilas del Zulia in Venezuela, he made 35 appearances, throwing 34 innings with a 3.44 ERA and 39 strikeouts — a full, high-volume workload that kept him sharp through the offseason.
This winter with the Toros del Este in LIDOM, he’s taken it to another level: 0.00 ERA, 4 appearances, 5.1 innings, 4 strikeouts and 1 save. For a reliever trying to catch a big-league organization’s eye, that’s about as clean a résumé as it gets.

The Bigger Picture
Alesandro is part of a generation of Dominican relievers using winter leagues as a proving ground. Staying active in the Caribbean — and performing at this level — keeps him on the radar of organizations looking for dependable bullpen arms. His progression from a 4.25 ERA in 2022 to a 0.00 ERA this LIDOM winter tells a clear story: this is a pitcher who is figuring it out, one inning at a time.
