Series Standings
- Tampa Bay Rays: 1-1 (.500)
- Cleveland Guardians: 1-1 (.500)
Starting Pitchers
Tampa Bay — Griffin Jax (RHP)
8-10, 3.53 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 116 strikeouts in 112.1 innings
Cleveland — Gavin Williams (RHP)
14-8, 3.76 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 248 strikeouts in 184.1 innings
What to Watch For
With the series tied 1-1, Game 3 is a genuine pivot point. The Rays would love to steal a road win and take control; the Guardians want to leverage home-field and avoid falling behind for the first time in the series.
The pitching matchup sets up to be tight. Gavin Williams had the stronger regular season — 14 wins and 248 strikeouts — but Griffin Jax counters with a slightly sharper ERA (3.53 vs. 3.76). Williams’s strikeout advantage (248 to 116) is the biggest number to watch as the game unfolds.
This article will be updated with the final score, key plays, and video highlights once the game is over.
